SAP provides ABAP developers with SE16N_INTERFACE function module to update database table content.

Keep in mind it’s usualy not a safe approach to update database table directly on database.

So, how it’s actually done? Well, follow below steps:

  1. Execute SE37 tcode
  2. Run FM: SE16N_INTERFACE
  3. Provide I_TAB with table name and mark I_EDIT and I_SAPEDIT parameters

  4. Once you execute the FM you should classic SN16N interface with additional toolbar allowing you to modify content of the table.

Voila! You can now modify data of your db table.
